About

The travel magazine of
Serais & Safaris.

Safari Gazette gathers the places Serais & Safaris travels across six sections, and shows the sources behind every fact.

What this is

Safari Gazette is the travel magazine of Serais & Safaris, which plans private journeys across South Asia, South East Asia and South America.

The six sections

The magazine is organised into six sections. Serais is about the places to rest on the road, the lodges, houses and historic inns that give a journey its rhythm. Safaris is about going out into the field, and the seasons, timing and landscapes that shape when to travel. Food covers the kitchens, markets and tables of the places we travel. Fashion looks at cloth, craft and dress across the regions we cover. Culture is for festivals, heritage towns, faith and the everyday life of those places. And Anthropology is about the peoples and ways of life across the regions we cover. A section without a published story yet simply says so.

How the stories are written

Every factual claim, a park closure, a monsoon season, a World Heritage listing, is backed by a source listed at the foot of the article. Where the facts come from parks, tourism boards and heritage bodies, we name them and link to them, and we check seasons and dates again for every journey.

For now the byline is the company, Serais & Safaris. Our journeys rely on local guides and hosts who know their places through every season, and we want them to write here too. When a story is written by a named contributor, their name will appear on it.

From a story to a journey

Each story lists the journeys that follow from it. Those journeys are planned and operated by Serais & Safaris. Travellers can start a conversation at inquiry@seraisandsafaris.com; an enquiry commits you to nothing, and we reply with a tailored proposal.

Travel advisors, agents and group organisers brief us at partners@seraisandsafaris.com. Every article can be shared with clients, and each one lists its sources.
